Our vision here at Tabernacle of Praise is to ‘win souls and make disciples’. We embrace this vision as part of the music ministry. Through each of our four musical venues we encourage participants to come into a deeper relationship with our savior, Jesus Christ, through the pursuit of excellence in music and the pursuit of worship as a way of life. In this way we become a witness to others of the awesome love of our God to us.

During our services, the worship may take forms which are unfamiliar to you. We are seriously, enthusiastically, and joyfully committed to worship according to the precepts of God's word. Our purpose is to give glory to God.

Our worship will include music, praise, soloists, and the Word. Sometimes the service will be structured; other times it will be spontaneous. At times, it may be loud and demonstrative while at others, very quiet.

The Tabernacle of Praise Gospel Choir vision is to see Christ magnified in our praises and in our lives. Choirs were a large part of biblical celebration and worship, and it continues to be today. In a way, we see ourselves as God’s “cheerleaders” – encouraging people to get up off of their seat and praise God. Although they sing a large variety of music, they tend to sing in more of an urban Gospel style, pulling from such artists as Joe Pace, Marvin Sapp, Israel Houghton, Fred Hammond, P. Kee, Kirk Franklyn, the growing Martha Munizzi and others, including some of our own arrangements. We sing mostly for the corporate worship, but at times do ‘special music’ for the congregation.

Music is a very big part of our church culture’s weekly celebration of God’s Goodness and Faithfulness. We currently have four worship teams that serve once a month. We encourage a large variety of music, all contemporary in style. Whether it is new praise song, an old chorus, a gospel tune, or a song written from our congregation, we encourage our musicians to exercise all creativity and skill. Psalm 40: 3 says, “He has put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto my God; many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.” We believe that as we exercise our God given creativity and our gifts, God blesses it and changes lives around us.

The Youth Band is an active group that is excited about engaging their peers in worship to God. The zeal and receptivity of youth allows for a more energetic music style that meets the younger generation where they are at. Reaching a largely diverse audience, the youth band strives for passionate, heart-engaged worship to God.

The Kid’s Praise Teams are designed to engage young hearts through song, teaching them about the Love of God, the need for a savior, and about how to lead a life of worship. With explosive energy and personal interaction, the Kid’s Praise Teams will really serve as positive role models for the young people. Jesus said, “Let the children come to me,” and so we celebrate God’s desire to see kids getting close to Him.
