We have been serving this community in the downtown of Appleton for the past 150+ years and are a vital, growing congregation that is seeking to be a community of Open Hearts, Open Minds, and Open Doors.

Our worship is best described as spirited worship in a traditional setting. During worship we carve out a holy space in the midst of our busy lives and offer God our best praise. We also stop and listen for God's voice. Our many choirs and musical ensembles help us focus on God's presence. Our newly renovated Austin pipe organ is one of the most beautiful instruments in the valley. Our pastors provide powerful biblical preaching. Join us in worshiping God!

Our Music Ministry
Music Ministry is a vital part of the life of our congregation. We have six ensembles, each adding their own unique talents to our worship experiences.

Sanctuary Choir - adults
Sings for 9:00 a.m. worship, with one Sunday off per month, and occasionally for 10:30 a.m. worship. Sanctuary Choir also presents larger-scale works or special programs twice each year, augmented by additional singers and/or instrumentalists from the church and the community.

Grace - adult women
Typically sings one Sunday a month.

Bass Clef - men
This all men's choir sings in Sunday worship several times throughout the year.

Soloists - Vocal and instrumental

Wesley Handbell Choir - adults
Performs one Sunday per month at 9:00 or 10:30 a.m. worship, and occasionally for special services and events.

One Voice - 6th through 12th grade
Sings twice per month at 9:00 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. worship.

Sonshine Singers - 3rd through 5th grade
Sings once or twice per month at 9:00 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. worship.

Genesis Choir - Kindergarten through 2nd grade
Sings once or twice per month at 9:00 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. worship.

Sanctuary Organ - Austin op. 1301, 1925; rebuilt 1999-2001. The sanctuary organ was finished in 1925, the same year as the completion of the church building. Built by the Austin Organ Company of Hartford, Connecticut, it is a fine example of the orchestral style of American organ building. At the time of its installation it was the largest organ in Wisconsin. By the mid-1990's the organ was beginning to show its age, becoming increasingly temperamental and unreliable. After weighing a number of alternatives, the congregation decided to undertake the complete rebuilding and renovation of the instrument. Austin Organs Inc. began work in 1999, and the project was completed in June, 2001.
